Your welcome James! Glad I could give you some input. I was very curious about them myself. Yes, they are fun to watch and really fast too! lol... Aloha, Eric

Cool, a gold dust day gecko. It's Crazy... I moved to Maui in 94 and left for almost three years at the beginning of 2006 and moved back to Maui Aug 2008. I had never seen one of these geckos on Maui until I returned in 2008, and now they are pretty much the dominant gecko species here on Maui. They are beautiful but mean little guys. I believe they are originally from Madagascar. Next time you are here if you want to attract them... put some jam or jelly in a bottle cap and leave it out for them. you'll have your own little gecko Jurassic park in no time!

Thank you Eric for the info that helps me a lot to know more about them. I was seeing them all over the island. I took this one just outside of the condo. They would come up on the rail that went around the patio. It was fun watching them. Thank you for your comments. Hope are having a great day. James
